I just got a gym membership and I’m trying to get in shape. I’m doing aerobic exercises and circuit training. I’m trying to loose some belly flab, bulk up, and gain stamina.

My question is, when should I eat what, and how should I balance my exercises?

Do I start with high protein breakfast AND have a protein shake after working out? Should I have cereals instead in the morning? What if I work out in the afternoon, what should I eat, and how long before I work out? Is it ok to do aerobic and weight training in the same day? What’s a good work out schedule? (I can go everyday if I have to)

I’ve been looking into getting Wii Fit for a little while, and I decided to purchase the actual software today at Gamestop for a real cheap price. As for the balance board, I’ve found one on eBay, but it includes nothing but the board. Is there anything else that should be included that isn’t? I don’t want to get it but then find out I don’t have some important component for it to work.

I give this routine to everyone who asks about b ball training, u better gimme best answer lol

Well for the full body, you really don’t want to get big, you want to get ripped. So here are some good work outs.

Basketball push ups, do push ups with ur hands on basketballs, works on balance and u get a feel for the ball.

Tricep dips, you shoot with your triceps, the more of these u do the more range you will have.

Calf raises, improve your jumping, and who wants flabby or chicken legs when ur wearing shorts ha ha

Squats, work on the whole lower body.

Sit Ups, works your core, for good balance.

For shooting just take 1000 shots every time you go on a court. And not half court shots or anything like that, shots you would use in a game. And don’t take 3’s until you shoot at least 500 shots inside the arc.

For ball handling go on youtube and type in pistol pete ball handling drills. He has a whole 30 minute routine. If you do it everyday you will be a great dribbler.

And rebounding is most important part for a center and power forward.
For this play tips of the backboard. Throw the ball on the back board, jump up, while in mid air grab it with one hand and tip it in the basket.
Switch it up by hitting it of the backboard a few time and then throwing it in, just make sure u r off the ground. Also make sure to do it with 2 hands, ur left and ur right.

And thas it to have a great season. Honestly the 2 things you need to be the best and have a good season is

    1. Youtube
    2. Will Power

Youtube has thousands of videos about ball handling and shooting, but if you don’t practice them you are still gonna be a mediocre player. So honestly go on youtube and look up anything with the word basketball. Ha expert village has about 50 videos with different people telling you how to shoot a basketball.

If you do this every day, you will be a great player, just remember its all about will power, and youtube.

IM LOOKING FOR THE BEST PROGRAM TO GET GOOD AT BASKETBALL in 1 year TIME OF PRACTICE< right now i can play 5 hours a day, and i need a good program somebody suggested that is that a good program

AskTheTrainer.com Personal Trainer Michael Behnken, MS, NASM-CPT-PES, CSCS Stability ball crunches are what makes the stability ball worth the money you pay for it. The number 1 thing to not do, is move the ball while you do crunches. To increase the difficulty of the stability ball crunch you should just move your hips up towards the top of the ball. With your hands behind your head, this should provide more than enough resistance to get a great abdominal contraction. Make sure you not only crunch your abdominals (rectus abdominis), but draw in your core (transverse abdominis). There are many ways to modify the stability ball crunch, but make sure to use correct form and master this standard version first. Neither this crunch nor any core or abs exercise will get you the elusive 6pack abs or six pack washboard stomach alone. If you have excess fat around your mid section you should learn all about it.
